1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using theawstrainer.com (the “Platform”), operated by Samuel Ogunti (“we,” “us,” or “The AWS Trainer”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately.

2. Description of Service

The Platform provides cloud computing educational content, including but not limited to an 8-week bootcamp curriculum, quizzes, hands-on labs, practice exams, blog articles, and certification preparation materials (collectively, “Content”). Certain features require account registration.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use the Platform. By enrolling, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

4. Account Registration

To access authenticated features (progress tracking, exams, certificates), you must sign in via a supported provider (Google, LinkedIn, or GitHub). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity occurring under your account.

5. Content License

All original Content on the Platform is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0).

You are free to:

  • Share and adapt the Content for personal, non-commercial purposes.
  • Attribute the Content to “The AWS Trainer, Samuel Ogunti.”

You may not:

  • Use the Content for commercial purposes without prior written consent.
  • Sublicense, resell, or redistribute the Content in a competing educational product or service.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Platform or its related systems.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform.
  • Scrape, data-mine, or systematically download Content beyond personal use.
  • Impersonate any person or entity.
  • Share account credentials or allow multiple individuals to use a single account.

7. Enrollment and Cohort Participation

Enrollment in a cohort is subject to availability and acceptance. By submitting an enrollment form, you consent to the collection of the information provided (see our Privacy Policy).

The AWS Trainer reserves the right to modify cohort schedules, curriculum structure, or enrollment criteria at any time with reasonable notice to enrolled participants.

8. Certifications and Certificates

Certificates of completion issued by The AWS Trainer represent participation in and completion of the bootcamp curriculum. They are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or equivalent to any certification issued by Amazon Web Services, Inc. or any other certification body.

AWS®, Amazon Web Services®, and related marks are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. Their use on this Platform is solely for educational reference purposes.

9. Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

The Content is provided for general educational and informational purposes only. It does not constitute professional advice of any kind, including but not limited to career counseling, IT consulting, financial guidance, or legal advice. You assume all risk associated with your use of and reliance on the Content.

We make no representations or warranties that:

  • The Content is complete, accurate, current, or error-free.
  • The Platform will be available uninterrupted or free from defects.
  • Any errors or defects will be corrected.
  • Cloud services, APIs, configurations, pricing, or exam objectives referenced in the Content remain current or valid at the time you access them.

You are solely responsible for any actions you take based on the Content, including but not limited to configuring cloud infrastructure, incurring charges on your own AWS or third-party accounts, or making career or business decisions.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE AWS TRAINER, ITS OWNER, AFFILIATES, INSTRUCTORS, CONTRIBUTORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, PROFITS, GOODWILL, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, OR ANY OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM OR IN CONNECTION WITH:

  • Your use of or inability to use the Platform.
  • Any Content, instructions, labs, or materials on the Platform.
  • Charges, fees, or costs incurred on your AWS account or any third-party service as a result of following labs, tutorials, or Content on the Platform.
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data or transmissions.
  • Any third-party conduct or content on the Platform.
  • Any reliance on the Content for professional, career, or certification decisions.

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise), even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. In no event shall our total aggregate liability exceed zero dollars ($0.00 USD).

11. Assumption of Risk

You expressly acknowledge and agree that your use of the Platform is at your sole risk. You are solely responsible for:

  • Any and all costs, charges, or fees incurred on your own AWS account, third-party cloud accounts, or other services as a result of following any lab, tutorial, or instructional material.
  • Verifying that any configuration, architecture, or code referenced in the Content is appropriate for your use case before deploying it in any environment.
  • Evaluating the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any Content before relying on it.
  • Any decision you make regarding employment, education, certification, or career based in whole or in part on information obtained from the Platform.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The AWS Trainer, its owner, affiliates, contributors, and service providers from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees and court costs) arising from or relating to: (a) your use of or access to the Platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property or privacy right; or (d) any claim that your actions caused damage to a third party.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately, though provisions that by their nature should survive (including Sections 5, 9, 10, 11, and 12) shall continue in full force and effect.

14. Modifications to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page. Material changes will be communicated via notice on the Platform or by email to enrolled users. Your continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
